December fourteenth at Chain.
I missed the Dares' set but arrived in time for Lido Beach. It was so cold outside I didn't even bother stopping to say hi to Craig and I was shaking for a good fifteen minutes even after I went in. Lido Beach's set was alright. Sadly I've never been too keen on Scotty's music, though he is a super nice and very hard-working guy. I'm glad they got a record out and I hope it sold well. I didn't even look at the merch table last night. I had no moneyz so it seemed like a bit of a moot point. :-( haha.
Down for the Count followed and I was pleasantly surprised by their set. I hadn't heard or seen them before and I kind of wish I had listened a little before seeing them because I enjoyed their music very much. They had some nice harmonies (just about everyone sang) and they were all very energetic. The singer kept bumping into people actually haha. They reminded me a lot of the Maine at times, and I don't mean that as a bad thing because I actually like the Maine a bit too. The drummer was amusing because he kept standing up off his seat and bouncing around. Like I said, very energetic. I'll definitely be listening for more of their shows in the future.
To my extreme dismay, it was far too cold to wait outside during Eudora's set so I chose to stay inside and make my best attempt at tolerating it. Their set wasn't the worst I've heard or anything, but it wasn't great by any means either. It also didn't help that the two most obnoxious kids I have literally ever seen at a show were standing next to me dancing like the outcasts at a middle school semi formal. So awkward. Oh, and Eudora brought a smelly smoke machine that made me feel sick. That was nice too. Luckily the following two bands ruled completely and I was no longer disappointed. :-)
Scarlet Grey was up after that and I hadn't seen them in like.. I don't know how long. Forever. I'm really not sure, but their set was quite nice. I don't remember the order completely, but they played the pirate song and "Quiet Kid" and "Dancing Ain't Delicate" and a few new songs ("Fancy Blood" and the ballroom one.. "No Boys in the Ballroom?" Something like that) and ended the set with "Mr. Sinister." It was very nice. I got to talk to Ben for a minute after the show but Petey was nowhere to be found and I was quite sad. Too frozen to search for him however. Anyway, rewind back to the end of their set. I had been standing behind the first row of people that were up against the stage and those two weird girls were right behind me, waiting for Filmspeed to play. Some kids in front of me left after Scarlet Grey was done so I zipped forward to the weird ones' dismay. :-D I never stand at the front either but I felt like I deserved to be there for Filmspeed anyway. No One Goes Filmspeed. :-)
So Craig, Nick and Jonny started setting up. Shawn helped. I love how no one that knows that band knows who Shawn is. Kinda silly. Just like him. But Craig said hi and they played all the songs off their myspace player as well as one or two new ones and ended with a cover of "Champagne Supernova," which hardly anyone in the room knew, least of all the weirdos behind me who kept saying things like "We love you recklessly!" and "I love you Jonny!" and following their ridiculous statements up with ridiculous giggles when the band responded nicely, which of course they have to. I felt so old at that show hahah. But it was a very nice cover. Their set didn't go too smoothly, but they pulled it off alright. It was their first show as Filmspeed, and their first show at all in like six months so that was kind of expected. I nabbed the setlist when they were done and went outside to wait for everyone so I could say hi and bye and get my ass out of there.
I called up Ashley so she could get a few hellos in too. I think I got Shawn, Jonny, Craig and then Ben. I didn't bother saying hi to Nick because his conversations fail even if his hugs don't and I never saw Pete either but I felt like it was a pretty successful venture for me. I was pretty bummed about having to go alone but I still had a lot of fun and it was nice to see all the guys again. Overall a pretty lovely night. :)

one hundred and eleven to one hundred and fourteen
ONE HUNDRED & ELEVEN - november fourteenth at chain - i caught the end of the graduate's set which sounded pretty good. they ended it with everyone playing drums sorta. that was kinda neat. eye alaska was lovely of course. ending the set with divorce is always nice. :) it's kinda funny seeing all the kids who had been singing along to every eye alaska song when divorce starts up cause no one knows it haha. they were great though. i gotta say, chris' dance moves are almost as sweet as brandon's hahah. ahh, aaaand i stayed for the higher after them because i <3 the higher. their sets are just too much fun. you can't not dance around and sing at the top of your lungs. i felt a little teased when they played the opening track to "our movie rules" while they were setting up and then totally didn't play the song. bust. but they did play rock my body, weapons wired, 31 floors, darkpop, histrionics, a new song, bye bye bye, insurance? and pace yourself. :) pretty good setlist if you ask meee. i forget what the new song was called but i liked it quite a bit. good show.
ONE HUNDRED & TWELVE - monday november twenty fourth at house of blues - we are the arsenalllllll. free show. we only caught their set but they were lovely. their fans annoyed me unfortunately but everyone did well. woohoo.
ONE HUNDRED & THIRTEEN - tuesday november twenty fifth at chain - thirteen killings. :) i enjoyed this much more than i expected to. good set.
ONE HUNDRED & FOURTEEN - wednesday november twenty sixth at knitting factory - nevershoutnever! opened. swell set. far too many screaming girls. when he ended with "bigcitydreams," members from other bands came out and taped him to his chair and proceeded to lift the chair and turn him in all sorts of directions. (last night of tour = prank night apparently.) thennn playradioplay! was next. their synth/bass was wayyyy too fucking loud but i liked the music and the singer's voice was lovely. uhmmm then ace enders and a million different people came up and blew me away. completely wonderful. such good music. i need to get into them. and finally, hellogoodbye. lovely. :) i hadn't seen them since uhhh.. what was that tour called? truckstops and statelines? with panic! and acceptance and the academy is... so that was a lot of fun. and one of the last few songs they played was "dammit" with just about everyone from the entire tour on stage. pretty wild.

one hundred and one through one hundred and ten
ONE HUNDRED & ONE - july 12th at chain - we only showed up for eye alaska's set cause ashley and i rule like that but it was amazing of course. i'm sure the other bands were great too but they couldn't have compared to eye alaska. and ashley's skills at calling which songs they'd play were pretty sweet as well. ".. unless they play divorce first and encore with i knew you'd never fly..?" ... "OHHHH!" hahaha. brilliant i tell you. definitely try to catch them when they get back from touring cause their shows are very much worth it.
ONE HUNDRED & TWO - (be warned: this is gonna be a long one) july twenty first at the roxy theater - brian bonz and mike strandberg were swell. brian bonz's voice is pure soul. it's incredible. his singing was just beautiful. kevin devine played after him and i'd only heard a bit of his music before but it was greater live than i ever expected. he could literally put me to sleep in the best way possible. his lyrics were clever and catchy and his music was so mellow that you had to pay attention to them because there wasn't anything to distract you from hearing every word. he was great. and of course, jesse lacey was nothing less than spectacular. if i were one to obsess over band members, i'd probably have a shrine to jesse lacey in my room. his set pretty much ruled. he playedddd untitled 01, a modest mouse cover, the boy who blocked his own shot, jude law and a semester abroad, luca (really sweet performance with kevin and brian), play crack the sky with kevin and vinnie from brand new singing and playing tambourine (this song made my month, no joke), moshi moshi<3, a neutral milk hotel cover, jesus christ (southern style with kevin and brian), cotton crush (kevin devine song), soco amaretto lime (audience participation was beautiful on this one), degausser (fucking incredible, top choice after play crack the sky for me), and coca cola. such a damn good show. literally a once in a lifetime experience for me, but i think i've ranted about it enough. :)
ONE HUNDRED & THREE - july 30th at the glasshouse - i forget what the first band was called but it matters not because their music was repetitive and forgettable, obviously. we only listened to two songs and then opted for walking around outside. thennn princeton played. they were cute and fun, very interesting music too. not your average pop punk whatnot, which i love of course, but it was nice to hear something different. takota was swell of course. it's been way too damn long since we've seen them and i hope they start playing more often again. check them out at the block on the tenth, they're playing for free with the plain white t's. :) we caught a few songs from grand ole party too before leaving, and they were another very interesting sounding group. i think it was a three piece with a girl on drums and vocals. she seemed very talented. not a bad show at all.
ONE HUNDRED & FOUR - august tenth at the block - plain white t's opened at the little simon dtour thinger. they were good. their new stuff sounds swell. they played "write you a song" which i've been hooked on lately so i was stoked. takota ruled. of course. all the little kids thinking they were cool for watching a band but not knowing a single lyric were not so cool. kind of obnoxious. but it's all good cause i've seen them like eighteen times or something insane like that. :)
ONE HUNDRED & FIVE - august nineteenth at chain - halos opened, and did quite a fine job at it. i hadn't seen them before and they said they don't normally play acoustic but i thought it suited them. the singer compared chain to satan's asshole because of how ridiculously hot it gets in there, pretty amusing. their set was good though. matt pryor played after them and i honestly only knew about one song he played because he ended with "out of reach." his entire set (same with chris conley's) was like a massive sing-along though, which is one of my favorite things about shows. when the crowd gets involved like that and you almost can't hear the performer over all the combined voices it just blows my mind entirely. matt was great though, he's got such a unique voice and his guitar sounded like exactly what an acoustic should. it was beautiful. the wonderful chris conley headlined and i really liked how he handled his set because you could tell it hadn't been decided what he'd play beforehand. he just asked "what's next?" after every song and played whatever people wanted to hear. i was hoping to hear "freakish" at some point, but no go. he did play "sell my old clothes, i'm off to heaven" though, which was nice. i've only really recently tried to get to know saves the day's music better very recently so i didn't know a lot of the songs he played either but it was still a great set. very good show. :)
ONE HUNDRED & SIX - september 26th at the glasshouse - takota. :) they played with smile empty soul and trapt but we only stayed for takota cause they're better. :) they played lioness, a little honesty, afraid of the dark, lost angeles, satellite and turn up the radio. and i was happy. because they're brilliant. too bad no new album until next fucking year. what the hell is up with that? it's been FOREVER. that's like.. two and a half years between albums or something. jesus. like.. i love them to death but that's just way too damn long hahah. anyway, they are wonderful and no matter how many times i see them, watching them on stage will always make me smile.
ONE HUNDRED & SEVEN - october eighth at chain - a bunch of shitty bands + kris roe. we stayed inside for maybe the first song of each band and ended up leaving because they were all pretty awful. hahaha. it was so sad, but kris roe made up for everything we dealt with because his set was wonderful. i was worried about how much i would recognize of his setlist because i only really know so long astoria all that well but he played quite a few songs off of that, including "the hero dies in this one." :) that made me a very very happy camper. at one point he started to play an older song that apparently has the same chord progression as a lot of other mainstream hits because he rattled off into a medley that included U2, bush, miley cyrus and a bit of "closing time" by semisonic. that last one tripped me out a little considering my top two choices for senior quotes were between the ataris and a line from the semisonic song. not the best overall show i've been to by any stretch, but kris roe's part of it was definitely awesome.
ONE HUNDRED & EIGHT - october seventeenth at active in irvine - takota played an acoustic set. we started out at the wrong active store and had to rush over, thinking we were going to miss the thing completely but we arrived in time to hear turn up the radio, satellite, just before morning, a little honesty<3, style="font-style: italic;">ivory tower and now the new record version. i've said it a million times and i'll say it a million more, this band is so worth listening to.
ONE HUNDRED & NINE - october twenty second at the glasshouse - the status, valencia, the matches, and bayside. the status was fun. kinda cutesy pop rock. not the most original thing i've ever heard, but they were good at it. i'd see them again. valencia was great as always. love them so much. i was hoping to hear listen up but ohwellz. the matches were fun too. i've seen them twice now and they're pretty interesting. kinda rough, edgy, but still melodic. and they encouraged everyone to go out and vote which was nice. very entertaining. bayside was great too. the entire crowd was singing along with every song. this was a great show all around for crowd involvement actually, which ends up being one of my favorite things about shows every time. very very good.
ONE HUNDRED & TEN - october twenty fifth at san diego house of blues - same show as the one above this. unfortunately i missed valencia's set because the show started before schedule. i caught the matches and bayside and i talked to all the guys except max. i got them to sign my cd. :) and i talked to them all on my own, without any help! yay me. i also got hit on by a drunk guy. interesting night. ALSO, if anyone wanted to know the setlist because valencia played the same one both nights (i asked): where did you go?, three thousand miles, the closest that i am to living life on the edge, better be prepared, holiday, all at once, and the space between. :)

NINETY THREE - april 6th at verizon wireless - bamboozle left day two! the new from first to last, metro station, mxpx, secondhand serenade<3,>
NINETY FOUR - may third at the district - vast atlantic played an hour long free set and it ruled. my first show alone, and it wasn't so bad. i wish i'd said hi and introduced myself but i'm too big of a pansy. they're so great though. and their little venture into blues was fantastic. if you missed it, you missed out.
NINETY FIVE - may tenth at chain - a couple sucky bands, then scarlet grey<3>
NINETY SIX - may twenty third at chain - say no more was pretty good. i liked them. karate high school was interesting to say the least. amusing though. eye alaska was great. the sound was crazy and distorted but they still managed to fucking rule as usual. the higher was good too. way too loud, but cameron wasn't doing sound so you know, it's hard to reach perfection and all. :P hahah. great show though. :) lots of fun.
NINETY SEVEN - may twenty ninth at chain - holiday unheard of was pretty meh. my american heart was cool and all but i don't thier music well enough to enjoy it, plus i had real fun foot problems during that set. aka they were too hardcore for me so i had to sit by the door. ;) daphne loves derby was wonderful. i like them a lot, even if i don't know all their stuff. mellow acoustic stuff = the way to my heart. we wereeee gonna stand basically at the front for cinematic sunrise but i damn near passed out and as soon as we started walking back through the crowd before their set i felt dizzy as shit and couldn't walk straight. dehydration is real fun. we watched most of their set from the middle of the floor and it was pretty damn good. one of the member was highly amusing, i think his name was bryan. good show, mainly cause my baby was there to make me feel better when i thought i was going to die. :) haha.
NINETY EIGHT - june 20th at pomona fairplex - warped tourrrr. we watched forever the sickest kids, relient k, the higher, the academy is, jeffree star, anberlin, valencia, the maine, mayday parade, angels and airwaves, say anything, 1997, and katy perry. totally in the wrong order. hottest day of my life too. but mostly funnish.
NINETY NINE - june 22nd at chain - i don't remember the opening band's name but i liked them. touch response was gooood. no one goes home's set was weak. six songs, three in a row new ones. wtfffff. a heartwell ending was great.
ONE HUNDRED - june 25th at hob - liam and me was swell. i liked them a lot. edgy fun pop. steel train was great, minus the annoying obsessed fan next to us who wouldn't stop jumping around like a six year old. ludo was odd. not bad, but interesting to say the least. and spill canvas fucking ruled. they played the tide and all hail the heartbreaker and staplegunned and lust a prima vista and lullaby and natalie marie and 1cc. :) i was very happy. they played LOTS of good songs, and lots off of one fell swoop so i was pleasantly surprised. good show.
NINETY TWO - april 5th at verizon wireless - bamboozle left! we watched eye alaska<3,>

eighty one through ninety
EIGHTY ONE - saturday, december first at chain - bristol to memory sounds better and better every time we see them. their new songs sounded great. :] another day late was pretty good too, and i really liked building rome in a day. eye alaska headlined and i swear those guys are so goddamn talented it's ridiculous. they completely changed styles and they pulled it off fast. they're great and very worth checking out. suchhh a good show.
EIGHTY TWO - december ninth at chain [birthdayy] - the playing favorites opened. they were alriiight. hello vegas was really really good. i liked them a lot. william tell was so silly. cracking cheesy jokes left and right, bringing out a ukulele for "white christmas." what a crazy guy. he was great though, just like the last time we saw him. and secondhand serenade was so much better than i expected. i kinda wish i had his cd but i'm cheap. by the end of the set he only had four strings and it still sounded great, so that was pretty neat. good show. :]
EIGHTY THREE - december 20th at the knitting factory - nogh and nude. i don't remember who else played but those two were both great. nogh gave us free tickets to their show at the grove the next night as an early christmas present so that was nice. :]
EIGHTY FOUR - december 21st at the grove - nogh. i forget who else played that night too. whoops. they were good though. it was freezing that night, like wayyyy cold outside. haha.
EIGHTY FIVE - new years eve at the district - the bolts!
EIGHTY SIX - january 26th, 2008 at the alley - we are the arsenal. they ruled, duh. :] i only stayed for the band before them and wata's set because everyone else pretty much sucked. or so i heard. but the arsenal definitely ruled.
EIGHTY SEVEN - february fifth at chain - we shot the moon, the higher, the matches and sherwood. so good.
EIGHTY SEVEN - february ninth i think at knitting factory - angel city outcasts + punk bands i don't remember the names of. :D woohoo!
EIGHTY EIGHT - february seventeenth at chain - the jakes, nude, no one goes home, scarlet grey. i forget if someone else opened. good show.
EIGHTY NINE - march 14th at the alley - the welcome kit. interesting.. haha.
NINETY - march 21st at the hot java cafe - jesse shannon, matthew walter. walked in late and missed some of jesse's set, but i'm glad i got to see him play. his music is wonderful. i'm a little bit hooked. matt walter was really good too, a bit in the vein of edwin mccain and willy porter. definitely both super talented.

SEVENTY ONE - september first at the plush cafe - letter burning, zero feet away, and something fuego started. letters burning was alright, the other two were mediocre at best. then lido beach played and they were swell. and no one goes home ended and made all the sweaty grossness worth it of course. :] they are truly amazing. every time we see them they get better and better. my dad came to the show too and he was totally in awe. he loves them now too. :D hahah.
SEVENTY TWO - september eighth at chain - eye alaska ruled. we missed the first bit of their set, but they were great as usual. june was pretty damn good. i didn't know their music but i liked them nonetheless. the higher<3>
SEVENTY THREE - september ninth at chain - got there early this time, sat on the wall right next to the stage. :D dynamite walls opened and i liked them a lot. i'd totally go see them again. bristol to memory was great too. they have fans now! haha "you guys know them personally?!" silly. no one goes home ruled for the fifteen millionth time. lovelove them. always. haha. scarlet grey was great too. i know i laughed the first time i saw them but after meeting ben and pete and actually watching and listening for a while now, they're pretty great. ben is honestly one of the sweetest people alive and i feel really bad for laughing at them before. great great show though. very nice.

SEVENTY SIX - october 5th at hpcc - band aideee. uhhh kidintheri0t lulz, andd i forget who all played. espa and the bolts were best. mistaking angels was good too. yeah. haha. i don't remember what else happened.
SEVENTY SEVEN - october 13th at the district - eye alaska played for half an hour. for free. :] good as always too. brandon dances silly. hahah. yeah!
SEVENTY EIGHT - november third at the wiltern - mewithoutYou was really really good. i want their cd. thrice was greatttt. i wanna see dk solo too though. but their set was intense. BRANDNEW was beautiful. i wish they would've played more of the early stuff. they only played three songs from the first two cds, but the boy who blocked his own shot was great. other exceptional songs: limousine, sowing season, jesus christ. such a good fucking set. i love brand new so much.
SEVENTY NINE - november fifteenth at chain - reign of kindo, the higher, this providence, daphne loves derby. all fabulous. :] dld was acoustic and insanely beautiful. the higher was lovely as always<3>
EIGHTY - november twenty seventh at the long beach arena - young wild things tour. cute is what we aim for.. was alright. haha. they sounded strange in an arena and they were all trying way too hard to be a rock band. they would've been fine if they stuck with being poppy. anyway, then the plain white t's showed them how it's done. :] they're so good, aww. and tim is just plain gorgeous. ahhh. haha, thenn gym class heroes were up and they were damn good too. "clothes off" was great hahha. and of course, fall out boy<3>

sixty one through seventy
SIXTY ONE - [june 2] takota, simon dawes, and the colour at the alley. super good show. apparently andy is no longer in takota. interesting. they played a bunch of new stuff and they're starting to record i think. then more shows! haha. i love takota<3>
SIXTY TWO - [june 6 at the alley] forever in fall, peachcake, no one goes homeee. forever in fall was good, and cute and dance-y. peachcake was amusing as usual. the sound guy cut them off after like two songs, hahahaha. and no one goes home was wonderful as usual<3
SIXTY THREE - ultimate battle of the bands for YAT. june 8th. cory benjamin and friends, great as usual. they won! woo. narwhal played too<3>
SIXTY FOUR - june 14th at the alley - hemingway, craig, crap band, craig, city redefined. only really went for craig, but heminway was swell too. craig played mini acoustic sets between each band. i went with my dad, and he enjoyed it so i was stoked. :]
SIXTY FIVE - june 30th at chain - eye alaska, army of me, as tall as lions. fucking great show. eye alaska is always good. they played an old dld song, "divorce" and changed it up a little. that was cool. army of me was alright, good music but the vocals were kinda flat. and as tall as lions was wonderfulll. i liked them a lot. so many people were really into it and dancing around, it was very cool to watch. and since there were only three bands, the sets were longer so that was tight too. great show.
SIXTY SIX - honda civic tour, july 2nd in anaheim - cobra starship opened. i only knew two songs but they were swell. my boy called meeeee right before they were done. :] :] :] heh. we sat so high up. :[ paul wall played second. i listened to my mp3 player instead. :] muahah. anyway then the academy is.. played. they were wonderful as well. they played a few new songs i didn't know but lots from almost here too, so i was stoked. no down and out, sadly. anyway, then +44 went up. i only know two songs by them all that well but they played blink 182 as well and that was fucking awesome haha. last but most definitely not least, fall out boy was fucking amazing. i don't care how many obnoxious thirteen year olds love them and how many indie snobs hate them with a fiery passion. i fucking love fall out boy. that's all there is to it. they put on an amazing live show and they've got some powerful fucking music. they played a lot of songs from fuct and they played saturday, and a few from ioh of course. such a wonderful set. ohhh my god. i'd love to see them more often. and now i really wanna go to a few more big concerts cause as much as i love local shows, big concerts have such amazing energy. anyway, it was a great show. :]
SIXTY SEVEN - july 6th at chain - scarlet grey sucked. hahahaha i'm sorry. i laughed so hard. bristol to memory pwnd, as usual. haha they had a rough start but they pulled through. 5606 was pretty swell and i liked the city drive a lot. no one goes home was wonderful of course. they played "rebel rebel" to finish off their set. i wish they'd played "untitled autobiography" or at least "pour some sugar on me" but it's all good. any performance by them is fun. :] they're on tour again now until september. boooo. good show though.
SIXTY EIGHT - july 28th at hogue's - some rad band called blind bizzarre or something that i still never figured out played first. then the truebirdsss, cory ben and his sister. they were great. then.. apocalipstick. :[ ew. hahaha. then we left. the first two were good though!
SIXTY NINE - august first at plush cafe - a swt folk-style show with vast atlantic and machines make noise. vast atlantic was awesome. they had a banjo. i don't even listen to much folk but there were seriously rad. check them out plz.
SEVENTY - august twenty eighth at chain - dear and the headlights was swell. the singer reminded me a bit of jarrod gorbel from the honorary title with his singing, and the music was awesome. they got very into it to the point where you could almost tell they love being up there more than they care about the perfection of playing every note right. and it worked well. as tall as lions, i fucking love them. i was a little bummed they didn't play either of the two songs i wanted to hear but they were outstanding anyway. i honestly think they are one of my new favorite bands to watch live. awesome awesome show. we only stayed for a little bit of mae's set and i don't know their music all that well anyway, but they were still great. those three bands made a good combination and it was a fabulous show altogether.
SIXTY TWO - [june 6 at the alley] forever in fall, peachcake, no one goes homeee. forever in fall was good, and cute and dance-y. peachcake was amusing as usual. the sound guy cut them off after like two songs, hahahaha. and no one goes home was wonderful as usual<3

shFIFTY - january seventh at chain - a bunch of crap bands, then bristol to memory! haha yay, they were great. especially considering rory was sick like the week before the show or something. but they sounded fantastic so i was happy. there was a band from NY called the hatch that actually wasn't bad.. they were just irritating to watch. they acted like they were god's gift to the [very small] audience. but meh. it was still fun.

shows thirty one through forty
THIRTY ONE - takota<3>
THIRTY TWO - september sixteenth at the block - plain white t's played a "free" show at virgin megastore, except you had to buy the cd to get a wristband. and if you didn't buy a wristband, you were susceptible to being kicked out haha. but whatever, it was worth it cause they're amazing. and i got the cd signed even though i have a poster from when they played at the spectrum. and i hugged tim. :] :] i wanted to take a picture, but they were like blocked off behind the table. oh well.
THIRTY THREE - september sixteenth at hogue's - cory benjamin and friendsssss. whee, pirate party. :] great show, great music. except, of course, for the old guy trying to dance and grabbing his balls. completely different band of course. haha and birthdays cards are fun. and pirate jokes too.
THIRTY FOUR - september 22 - sail heezer + cory benjamin and friend's along with the invisible children documentary. good show, intense movie. makes me want to be involved. good night.
THIRTY FIVE - september 23rd - takota played acoustic at south coast plaza [always great] and showed the video for "satellite" and it was a lovely little show. then it was off to fullerton to see craig play acoustic guitar and piano. also quite lovely. anything to do with nogh is fantastic. haha. :] great day.
THIRTY SIX - october 6th at the alley - i don't remember the names of all the bands, but they were mostly goooood. nogh headlined. :] i was happy. they were fantastic of course. duhh.
THIRTY SEVEN - bamboozle left in pomona on october fifteenth. so amazing that i made a blog about it alone. i got to see some amazing bands, including: pistolita, the spill canvas, my american heart, daphne loves derby, thirty seconds to mars, BRAND fucking NEW, i am ghost, the bled, etc. i'm so tired from it but it was seriously like the most amazing thing i've ever been to. i've yet to see warped tour or anything else with a million different bands at the same place, so this was truly like.. fucking awesome. i'm too tired to be articulate. :]
THIRTY EIGHT - november fourth at hogue's - we went to see nogh. really no explanation needed because they're always amazing. so all i have to say for this one is: kazangidabom! BISCUITS AND GRAVY!
THIRTY NINE - november 7th at chain - last place trophy. :] they were good. i actually knew a few songs too so that was neat. plus it was a tuesday so there were hardly any people there and that makes it fun too. haha yeahh.
FORTY - veteran's day [november 11] at bommer canyon - giving away wednesday, cory benjamin, cable car. acoustic music festival for irvine bands. very fun fun fun.
:] they were good. i actually knew a few songs too so that was neat. plus it was a tuesday so there were hardly any people there and that makes it fun too. haha yeahh.

first entry: show blog intro
I already have a list of shows I've been to on my myspace, but this site is growing on me so I figured I'd just add another blog here for show-reviewing. I'm not going to go back and edit all the shows I've already been to, so I'll just post those in groups of ten and then from now on I'll write a more formal synopsis of shows I attend.
Enjoy? :-)
Enjoy? :-)
