eighty one through ninety

EIGHTY ONE - saturday, december first at chain - bristol to memory sounds better and better every time we see them. their new songs sounded great. :] another day late was pretty good too, and i really liked building rome in a day. eye alaska headlined and i swear those guys are so goddamn talented it's ridiculous. they completely changed styles and they pulled it off fast. they're great and very worth checking out. suchhh a good show.

EIGHTY TWO - december ninth at chain [birthdayy] - the playing favorites opened. they were alriiight. hello vegas was really really good. i liked them a lot. william tell was so silly. cracking cheesy jokes left and right, bringing out a ukulele for "white christmas." what a crazy guy. he was great though, just like the last time we saw him. and secondhand serenade was so much better than i expected. i kinda wish i had his cd but i'm cheap. by the end of the set he only had four strings and it still sounded great, so that was pretty neat. good show. :]

EIGHTY THREE - december 20th at the knitting factory - nogh and nude. i don't remember who else played but those two were both great. nogh gave us free tickets to their show at the grove the next night as an early christmas present so that was nice. :]

EIGHTY FOUR - december 21st at the grove - nogh. i forget who else played that night too. whoops. they were good though. it was freezing that night, like wayyyy cold outside. haha.

EIGHTY FIVE - new years eve at the district - the bolts!

EIGHTY SIX - january 26th, 2008 at the alley - we are the arsenal. they ruled, duh. :] i only stayed for the band before them and wata's set because everyone else pretty much sucked. or so i heard. but the arsenal definitely ruled.

EIGHTY SEVEN - february fifth at chain - we shot the moon, the higher, the matches and sherwood. so good.

EIGHTY SEVEN - february ninth i think at knitting factory - angel city outcasts + punk bands i don't remember the names of. :D woohoo!

EIGHTY EIGHT - february seventeenth at chain - the jakes, nude, no one goes home, scarlet grey. i forget if someone else opened. good show.

EIGHTY NINE - march 14th at the alley - the welcome kit. interesting.. haha.

NINETY - march 21st at the hot java cafe - jesse shannon, matthew walter. walked in late and missed some of jesse's set, but i'm glad i got to see him play. his music is wonderful. i'm a little bit hooked. matt walter was really good too, a bit in the vein of edwin mccain and willy porter. definitely both super talented.
