ONE HUNDRED & ELEVEN - november fourteenth at chain - i caught the end of the graduate's set which sounded pretty good. they ended it with everyone playing drums sorta. that was kinda neat. eye alaska was lovely of course. ending the set with divorce is always nice. :) it's kinda funny seeing all the kids who had been singing along to every eye alaska song when divorce starts up cause no one knows it haha. they were great though. i gotta say, chris' dance moves are almost as sweet as brandon's hahah. ahh, aaaand i stayed for the higher after them because i <3 the higher. their sets are just too much fun. you can't not dance around and sing at the top of your lungs. i felt a little teased when they played the opening track to "our movie rules" while they were setting up and then totally didn't play the song. bust. but they did play rock my body, weapons wired, 31 floors, darkpop, histrionics, a new song, bye bye bye, insurance? and pace yourself. :) pretty good setlist if you ask meee. i forget what the new song was called but i liked it quite a bit. good show.
ONE HUNDRED & TWELVE - monday november twenty fourth at house of blues - we are the arsenalllllll. free show. we only caught their set but they were lovely. their fans annoyed me unfortunately but everyone did well. woohoo.
ONE HUNDRED & THIRTEEN - tuesday november twenty fifth at chain - thirteen killings. :) i enjoyed this much more than i expected to. good set.
ONE HUNDRED & FOURTEEN - wednesday november twenty sixth at knitting factory - nevershoutnever! opened. swell set. far too many screaming girls. when he ended with "bigcitydreams," members from other bands came out and taped him to his chair and proceeded to lift the chair and turn him in all sorts of directions. (last night of tour = prank night apparently.) thennn playradioplay! was next. their synth/bass was wayyyy too fucking loud but i liked the music and the singer's voice was lovely. uhmmm then ace enders and a million different people came up and blew me away. completely wonderful. such good music. i need to get into them. and finally, hellogoodbye. lovely. :) i hadn't seen them since uhhh.. what was that tour called? truckstops and statelines? with panic! and acceptance and the academy is... so that was a lot of fun. and one of the last few songs they played was "dammit" with just about everyone from the entire tour on stage. pretty wild.
